Story
Italy – Puglia
The Heel of Italy’s Boot
About Puglia
Puglia is located in southern Italy, forming the heel of the boot, and it has a long and storied past. It offers great history, beautiful beaches, gorgeous towns, archaeological sites, and a warm climate. Clear ocean and magical sunshine make this region a fairytale destination. Puglia is a major tourist attraction for both Italians and foreigners.
Because it was conquered by a wealth of major powers (Roman, Greco, and Messapian ) throughout history, its landscapes show a mixture of influences, bringing history to life.
One of the most popular types of tourism is
Masseria Accommodation.
Masserie were the big houses at the centre of large agricultural estates: now they frequently offer comfortable rural accommodation, often with extras such as spas and cookery courses.

How to get to Puglia and the best way to travel within the region
Puglia is served by two international airports: Bari (Karol Wojtyla) in the north and Brindisi (Salento) in the south.
The easiest – and pretty much only – way to get to Puglia is to fly into Brindisi or Bari. Alitalia has regular flights from major Italian cities.
Puglia from NYC: Fly to Bari or Brindisi with Alitalia (either change in Rome or Milan).
Low-cost airlines are available from all major European hubs with connecting flights. There are daily flights to Bari and Brindisi on Ryanair.
Car rental is highly recommended. Having a car allows you to go to different beaches and visit artistic towns conveniently at your own pace.
