My Puglia Bio

Four years ago during a trip, I was literally bewitched by Itria valley and Salento regions of Puglia. I loved the slow pace and the journeys in this land of pleasure. There were wonders in every village with delectable cuisine, rustic architecture, crystal clear waters, hidden coves, and wildly refined nature. Right then I knew I wanted to make a holiday home. After an extensive search, I bought two historical Trulli (traditional stone abodes indigenous to the region) nearly 300 years old. I am currently halfway in the process of transforming them into two luxury designed hideaways.

I toured 100 properties in 5 days and finally chose two properties next to each other on 2 hectares of land immersed in olive orchards and more than a dozen fruit trees. I produce 20 gallons of olive oil per year, a new hobby for me.

My investment at a low initial price required renovation. The bones of the property were good which is very important when investing in a renovation property. It is a project commissioned by me, an American- Iranian property developer, interior designer, lifestyle maker, and artist based in Dubai, Tehran, and Puglia.

At least a year of work is necessary depending on the size of the property to revive the splendor of the traditional architectural forms of the past with a modern language including elements of strong character such as Puglia’s unique stone craftsmanship, passed down generations by expert stonemasons from the region.
